American Association of Bowenwork Practitioners

Many Professional Bowenwork Practitioners from around the country recently attended the first American Association of Bowenwork Practitioners’(AABP) Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Attendees ratified the constitution and by-laws, leadership was installed and committees established to educate and inform the public regarding Bowenwork. The committees were given the task of laying the groundwork for future clinical research projects and collectively design a plan for future development of the AABP.

Highlights of the conference also included the presentation of a Certificate of Recognition and Lifetime Membership to Neil Hall of Abilene, Texas for his tireless commitment as Developmental President and President of the AABP.

Christine Hansen of Tucson, Arizona was also presented with a Certificate of Recognition and Lifetime Membership for her doctoral research project work regarding the use of Bowenwork for Breast Cancer Survivors with lymphedema.

President Neil Hall opened the meeting and introduced the following speakers: BAUSA Administrative Assistant Sue Rutter (Prescott, AZ) who addressed navigation of the Bowenwork websites and continuing education tips; Christine Hansen, University of Arizona Doctoral Nursing Candidate, shared information regarding research and lead discussion regarding future member initiatives in research; Bowenwork Instructor Kevin Minney (Alameda,CA), covered business marketing; Bowenwork Academy USA (BAUSA) instructors Pratiti Beldner (Portland,OR), Sandra Gustafson (Bodega Bay, CA),Vicki Mechner (Springfield,VA), Nancee Rogers (Newton, OH) led the question and answer panel discussion.

Two days of BAUSA Bowenwork classes were held previous to the conference for those who wished to attend.
