    Nominations Are Now Open

AABP is your association. Make sure we have good candidates by participating in the nominations process.

Beginning with elections in 2012, all terms will be three years long. Since it is important to maintain continuity within the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, the terms are of different lengths this one time, so that endings of terms will be staggered.

These are the positions and terms in the elections we are holding this spring:

    • President – 3 year term
    • Vice President – 2 year term
    • 2nd Vice President – 1 year term
    • Treasurer – 3 year term
    • Secretary – 2 year term
    • Directors (5) at large with varied terms

For more information on the roles and responsibilities of each office, click here.

A few AABP members have already expressed interest in serving as an officer or director. We need more volunteers who are willing to serve your practitioners association. You may nominate yourself for office. If you know practitioners who you think would be a good fit for any of these positions, please send them a copy of this newsletter and encourage them to volunteer or allow you to nominate them.

If you might be interested in serving but would prefer a shorter term, please contact either Mike or Neil Hall, President of the Steering Committee, at bowtech@nts-online.net. We may be able to accommodate your needs.

Click here to download the form for providing background information about a candidate. If you are nominating yourself, send this information to Mike McGee, Chairman of the AABP Nominating and Elections Committee, at fairoaksbowen@yahoo.com. Or mail it to him at 8035 Madison Ave., Suite A3, Citrus Heights, CA  95610.

According to the provisional AABP by-laws (which will be modified and adopted by members at the AGM in October), all officers must be voting members, that is, members who have completed Module 6 or above.

AABP needs your participation in order to serve you better! Please act today. We need to have all candidates’ names and biographies in place no later than April 20th. We will inform all voting members of each candidate’s capabilities before the elections, as an aid in making informed choices.

    This Is Your Newsletter

If you have Bowenwork experiences, marketing ideas, or articles to share, please send them to Neil Hall at bowtech@nts-online.net for inclusion in a future newsletter.

Unfortunately Suzette will not be able to continue working on the newsletter. An experienced editor has come forward who is willing to edit and proof future issues of the AABP newsletter, however we need some new volunteers who can get the newsletter to the point where she can give it the finishing touch. If you have some writing experience and would like to help put the newsletter together, please contact Neil at bowtech@nts-online.net. There’s enough work to go around.
